Pilot a war robot
You pilot one giant robot in a team of six, seen from behind its shoulders. The left mouse button fires one weapon group and the right button the other. Every robot has its own ability, and a back pod can call down an artillery barrage. Robots are heavy and fights are long enough to turn around: hide behind a wall, wait out a reload, or go for the robot that has dropped its shield. Walls and houses break apart under fire, so no cover lasts for ever.
- Instant. Runs in any modern browser with WebGL 2. No launcher, and no account needed to play.
- Full battles. 6v6, with bots piloting robots whenever a slot is empty.
- Play with friends. Make a private room and share its code or invite link.
- A hangar of your own. Sign in with Google to keep your robots, research, credits and paints.
The robots
Scree · light
Fast and fragile, with three light hardpoints. Its boosters lift it onto rooftops and over walls.
Talus · medium
The robot everyone starts with: two medium arms, a light shoulder mount and a back pod. It dashes 25 metres in half a second.
Shale · medium
Two medium shoulder mounts and a light arm. It throws up an energy dome that shields everyone inside.
Basalt · heavy
Slow and very tough, with a heavy arm, two light mounts and a back pod. It plants its feet to fortify and soak up fire.
The arsenal
| Weapon | Type | How it fights |
|---|---|---|
| Rivet | Light minigun | Rotary barrels spin up, then pour out rounds at mid range. |
| Sledge | Medium minigun | Harder hitting, the same spin-up. |
| Piledriver | Heavy rotary cannon | The biggest sustained gun a robot can carry. |
| Kindle | Light rocket pod | A quick salvo of rockets that burst on impact. |
| Volley | Medium rocket pod | Six rockets a salvo, splash damage on walls and robots. |
| Tracker | Homing missiles | Lock on first, and the missiles follow their target. |
| Glint | Light laser | A beam whose damage builds the longer you hold it on target. |
| Prism | Medium laser | A heavier beam that burns. |
| Lancet | Railgun | Charge, zoom and fire. Long range, and it punches through thin walls. |
| Hailstorm | Artillery | Fired from the back pod: pick a drop zone and a barrage falls on it. |
Four ways to play
Team Deathmatch
Two teams of robots. The first team to destroy 40 wins, or the one ahead when the five minutes run out. A team whose every robot is destroyed loses.
Free-for-All
Every robot for itself. First to destroy 20 takes it, inside five minutes.
Domination
Hold A, B and C. Every point you hold scores every three seconds; first to 200.
Capture the Flag
Carry their flag home and keep yours. Ten captures wins.
Three maps

Pale Quarry
A mining station on the Moon under a black sky. Hold the Beacon pad, or blow open the habitat airlocks and take the flank.

Saltcliff
A sunlit citadel with a tunnel through it and a rampart over the bay on each flank.

Cirrus Bowl
A floodlit arena on a peak: an open beacon in the middle, glass skybridges over it, and sunken courts to break into.
Hangar and research
Every battle earns credits and XP. XP raises your pilot level, and each tier opens at a level; credits research one robot or weapon at a time. Each robot in your hangar goes into battle once a match: when it is destroyed, deploy the next. Work up the tiers to the Basalt and the Shale, the Lancet railgun and the Prism laser, fit out four robots in your hangar, and paint them with your own colours and camos. Quick play matches you against robots of a similar battle rating.

Questions
Is Sliplap free to play?

An optional store sells paints for your robots and a subscription that speeds up research; neither makes a robot stronger or buys anything you could not earn.
Do I need to download anything?
No. Sliplap runs in your browser: open sliplap.com, press Quick Play and you are in a robot battle in seconds.
What do I need to play?
A computer with a keyboard and mouse, and an up-to-date browser with WebGL 2: Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. It runs on Windows, macOS, Linux and Chromebooks. Phones and tablets are not supported yet.
Can I play with friends?
Yes. Create a private room, choose the map and mode, and send your friends the room code or invite link. Up to 12 robots fight in a match, 6 on each side.
Can I play on my own?
